Data Analyst
HQ, Lyndhurst, NJ

Sapphire Digital is looking for a data-driven person who will work closely with the Business Intelligence and Data Engineering & Services teams for analyzing and conducting QA against data warehouses, data management system, data feeds, and data processes. This role is responsible for data quality control for both the outbound and inbound data and analyzes the various databases and processes to provide feedback in improving the data quality systems and processes.

In this position, you'll be responsible for:

  • Overseing data QA functions to ensure accuracy of business rules defined and data integrity
  • Identifying, verifying and analyzes data defects/issues and communicates with team to determining the root cause for issue resolution
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing inbound and outbound data
  • Providing analytical support and conducting data mining/complex multiple variable analysis
  • Proactively identifying issues and trends through data analysis and manipulation
  • Analyzing database and identifying areas where improvements can be made to increase the data loading, quality and match rates.
  • Creating SQL queries for reporting and support troubleshooting
  • Working with analytics and statistical software such as SQL, R, Python, and others to perform analysis and interpret data.
  • Presenting findings in reports and utilizing various visual techniques and tools like Power BI
  • Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization
  • Communicating effectively with cross functional teams
  • Initiating ad-hoc data processing jobs

You might be a good fit if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university; 4+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of experience as a data analyst or in related field.
  • Proficient in query languages (SQL).
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
  • Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide data solution recommendations.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.

  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing large data sets and relational databases.
  • Ability to manage time and priorities of multiple projects/tasks
  • Displays professionalism and ability to learn quickly
  • Conscientious of work quality and deadlines
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with multiple teams across with a wide range of technical backgrounds.
